| Northstarclub The Northstar Club in Lake Tahoe is a client that we've done work for off and on in the last few years. They approached us about making their site a little easier to update. We had been interested in using a great open source content management system called Joomla and thought that it would be perfect for what the NS Club needed. It was the first time we used that particular tool and we were impressed with the abundance of third party extensions and how easy it was to implement them in Joomla. Being able to create templates that can be changed at anytime with the click of mouse was a feature we loved. We ended up having to write a few of our own components which was a fairly straight forward process since Joomla 1.5 uses a model view controller architecture. Now all Northstar Club employees can update their website in a word processor type environment with a minimum of hassle. |

| Cori Crooks Cori Crooks is a San Francisco based writer and artist who asked me to develop a web site to help promote her first book. Her needs were pretty straightforward and I decided to use a content management system called CMS Made Simple. The cms primarily uses smarty templates so developing the site was a relatively painless process. This enabled Cori to update her site with minimum effort, allowing her to concentrate on designing great jewelry and her writing. |
